Bright country house on a forest clearing

The listed cottage is part of a former monastery estate called Abtsried. Your vacation home is next to a larger house (also a former monastery building where I live with my family) in the middle of a beautiful forest clearing in the nature reserve near Diessen am Ammersee (6 km). The house has bright, open spaces with fantastic vaulted ceilings and original old ceiling beams, a large garden with fireplace and summer pavilion. The space The house is very special with its mix of listed old and lovingly redesigned. The kitchen impresses with a beautiful stone floor, old wood-burning stove and a modern gas stove. The upper floor (steep stairs up) is kept completely open, here is a large double bed and a single bed, as well as a sofa. A lot of sunlight falls through the balcony doors and two round windows. The location is perfect: the view goes to a forest clearing right in the nature reserve. The house is facing east, so every sunrise can be seen over the trees. In the garden in front of the house is a summer pavilion with a table and chairs for breakfast and reading. At the end of the long garden there are hammocks for relaxed swaying. The only neighboring building has its own terrace and its own part of the garden. There is a large fire pit available to you. It is perfect for grilling and for long evenings by the fire. From Abtsried you can start beautiful tours by foot or by bike into the woods. For the gravelly forest roads and the hilly area, a mountain or e-bike is recommended. Lake Ammersee is 6 km away and day trips to the mountains are highly recommended! Guest access Next to the cottage is the large garden, fire pit, summer pavilion and cozy sitting area under chestnut with hammocks. We are also happy to provide you with a charcoal grill including charcoal and deck chairs for relaxing days. Other things to note If you want to relax a bit, this is the place to be. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house, otherwise Abtsried is in a dead zone. Your cell phone reception is therefore severely limited.
