This lovely villa is tucked away down a quiet lane, set in a landscaped garden overlooking an unspoilt valley of farmland and orchards. Facing both south and west, its secluded location gives complete privacy, although there are neighbours, so Leão does not feel isolated. It would be difficult to find a more attractive exterior - paved terraces on different levels lead down to the pool terrace (care should be taken with very young children). Cool, marble floors lead from the main rooms to the shaded terrace with a large barbecue area at one end which has distant sea views. The villa is a ten minute drive from numerous beaches and the centre of Albufeira and even nearer to Pateo and Guia with several good restaurants. The interior takes advantage of the lovely views down the valley with the coast in the distance. Each bedroom has a terrace or balcony overlooking the countryside. The well designed, fully equipped kitchen has a convenient breakfast area in addition to the formal dining room. The principal rooms are unusually light and spacious and the house is furnished with a mixture of local and Asian furniture. Things we love...
