Description
Is is a house or is it a Flat? This cosy but spacious flat is part of the former Turk's Head pub, 100 yards from the Roman Newport Arch at the top of the Bailgate, a few minutes from the Cathedral and Castle. Officially a one-bedroom flat (with a very comfy double bed) it can accommodate several more, with a double sofabed in the sitting room and perhaps one more on airmatress in sitting room. The basement is not really suitable as a bedroom but does make an excellent cinema room! The space This flat is on three levels - basement, sitting room and bedroom and bathroom upstairs. There is a washing machine should this be needed and a well equipped kitchen. Wifi and table downstairs makes for a good workspace should this be needed. Sitting room has television. And a home cinema in the basement (recently added - please advise if interested). Very agreeable in the heatwave as it pleasantly cool down there! Parking permit available for road parking. Apart from the Cathedral and Castle we are very close to the Bailgate shopping area, the Museum of Lincoln life and the wonderful restaurants in this part of town. Steep Hill of course and lots more! Guest access The flat is entirely for guests - I won't be staying there when it is let. Access is by combination key safe. We normally say access from 4pm on arrival day and please depart by 11am on leaving day to allow for clearning/turnaround, but we can sometimes be flexible about this. We'd like our guests to feel at home, as though they are borrowing a friend's flat for a few days. Other things to note The flat can accommodate up to 4 or 5 at a push depending on arrangements.
