Charming River Cabin in the woods

Cabin 20: This is charming 100-year-old cabin is tucked into the edge of the woods near the banks of the White Salmon river. In the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, this rustic original includes the perfect balance of modern amenities and vintage coziness. This is the perfect place to curl up by the fire for a winter weekend or enjoy a leisurely dinner on the deck during the twilight of a summer evening. The large kitchen is well-equipped. With one bathroom, we recommend no more than 4 guests but make exceptions for families with two adults and three kids. The loft has a comfortable queen and set of twin beds. There is an additional queen downstairs in the open concept floor plan. We supply ample firewood which you will use in the winter as the woodstove is the primary source of heat. Once it gets going, the entire place stays toasty warm but if building a fire on a winter morning isn’t your cup of tea, you might want to consider our listing for Cabin 19. The cabin feels remote but is convenient to the best the Gorge has to offer. Whatever your interest, Cabin 20 is a great home base: White Salmon, Hood River, Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, wineries, horseback riding, rafting, hiking, kayaking, fishing, wind surfing. biking, berry picking (summer), snow sports/play (winter). There are several rafting companies just up the road in Husum. Trailheads are short walk from the front door. I enjoy all of it but my favorite thing to do is to sit on the deck and read and bird watch. It is a really special place. Guest access Guests will have full access of the cabin.
