Cotswold family-style room nr Woodstock & Witney

Convenient for Wilderness, Blenheim and Cornbury. It is close to Woodstock (4 miles), Witney, Burford, Chipping Norton and Oxford. Charlbury railway station is 2 miles away, where a regular service takes you to London. This is a comfortable dual aspect studio room in a house situated in an attractive village with a good pub. Room has double bed, flat screen tv, kettle and books. Suitable for solo adventurers, cyclists & business travellers. A second room is sometimes available. The space The base price (week days) is £38 per room, with a £15 surcharge if the room is to be shared. The room is a dual aspect studio room which looks out onto my garden at the back, and the village lane and countryside beyond at the front. It has a new, comfortable double bed, clean sheets and bedding (though not ironed, time is too short!). There's a flat screen Samsung tv which doubles as a radio, well stocked bookshelves, 3 of my son-in-law's original paintings on the wall (his work having been accepted at the R.A. summer exhibition) - and also a kettle. Guest access You will have the use of the upstairs bathroom and shower; I use the shower and bathroom downstairs when there are guests, so the upstairs bathroom, which is opposite the guest room, is yours. It is expected that guests will eat out. There are a number of friendly pubs in the local area, all of which serve good food. Five minutes' walk away, the Plough Inn in Finstock is deservedly popular, but be aware that it doesn’t serve food on Sunday night or Mondays. During your stay I'll be there to meet'n'greet. I am also very happy to offer help and advice about local things to do and see. However I'm pretty busy, especially in term time, and am likely to be out and about quite a lot. Other things to note You may hear me playing guitar or singing sometimes, though that usually happens well away from the room you'll be using. (I perform occasionally with friends at local folk/blues clubs.) I'm quite a keen walker, so can recommend good local routes .
