Stylish living in the village square with a large terrace overlooking the Morvan
The house was built in 1928 and lies at the edge of the peaceful village square of the small South Burgundy village of Saint-Didier-sur-Arroux, which is located in the Regional Morvan Nature Reserve. The house offers a magnificent view of the undulating pastures in which the white Charolais cattle roam, of the Etang de Bousson and of the southern flanks of the wooded Morvan Mountains. The annex to the house was in use as a smithy until the sixties of the last century. The village square was then in use to shoe the horses of the farmers and nobilty and to repair farming equipment. The village has about 250 inhabitants, most of them live on farms in the surrounding area. In the village itself, you will find, aside from our restaurant La Petite Auberge (www.la-petite-auberge.eu) several houses, a post office, the town hall, the school, the church and a flea/antiques market operated by a Dutch couple.
