Centrally located in the Wadden Sea National Park. The house is well sheltered from the west wind just behind the dune. 200 meters to the beach, where there is plenty of opportunity for crab fishing, or chasing the seagulls on the beach. The house's garden is a pure oasis, with a rich wildlife. Here you can enjoy the coffee, or relax under the trees of the garden, in the scent of the many herbs, and the flower of the garden. Maybe the hare or the pheasant will come by. Don't forget the beautiful sunset on top of Klitten, just 50 meters away. The space The house was newly renovated in 2020. Tastefully decorated with a mix of antique and modern furniture. Here, you can have a cozy gathering in the house's large kitchen/dining room, where the natural light flows in and overlooks the house's garden, or relax with a good movie on the 1st floor. The house has, among other things, a new bathroom with underfloor heating, a newer kitchen/living room with a wood pellet stove (wood pellets can be purchased on site) and 1 bedroom on the ground floor. On the 1st floor there are 2 additional bedrooms, both with comfortable beds and cozy details, as well as a small TV room. The house offers opportunities for both indoor and outdoor activities and forms the framework for a good family vacation. The grounds have a rich wildlife. Birds, pheasants, hares and chickens come to visit. Guest access There is private parking on the property. 5 minutes to the local grocery store, and 5 minutes to the stand. There are opportunities for walks all over the island, enjoying a lunch at cafe Mandø pigen, or at restaurant Vadehavet. Other things to note NOTE: My guests must bring their own bed linen (sheets for double bed 1.80 x 1.80) and towels. (Can be purchased for DKK 100 per person) please let us know well in advance of check-in. Water, electricity (daily price) and wood pellets are settled according to consumption. High chair, as well as a weekend bed are offered free of charge. Please let us know before check-in. Flood and Ebbe You can easily drive to Mandø by car. The Låningsvejen road is 60 cm higher than the seabed. But you must always make sure that the current water level allows driving in your own car. (see DMI's water level measurements at Mandø) The Låningsvejen is flooded twice a day. The home is not suitable as a commuter home for foreign workers, as the tide is changing. We always have contact with our guests before they set out on Låningsvejen, and will always inform the guest about low tides. You can also get to and from the island by the Mandø bus. The family dog is welcome. Bring your own dog bed and food bowls. The dog must be on a leash on Mandø, but can run freely on the sandbanks at low tide. The dog must not be on the furniture or left alone in the house.
