Welcome to our 3-bedroom character cottage in Winchester with reception/sitting room, separate dining room, full-kitchen (big Fridge Freezer, MW, DW, WM & Dryer), a large bathroom & big garden. A prestigious Farm Shop only 50yds away with lovely Cafe serving food all-day, a bakery/cheese/deli counter & award winning butcher. Super Pub 10min walk. We live approx 1 mile from the historic town center. Easy access by foot, bus, train, car M3/A34. The perfect town & country experience! The space Welcome to our 3-bedroom home in Headbourne Worthy, Winchester. It was, until recently, our family home. We have 2-double bedrooms (with double beds) and 1-single bedroom (with a sofa which turns into a comfortable single bed). It has a dining room. TV reception / sitting room with a wood burning stove, a comfortable 3-seater sofa and stylish armchair. A two room kitchen with a breakfast bar, large gas stove & oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and clothes dryer. A large full bathroom with bath & shower and under floor heating. A Large cottage garden with additional heated office / summer house connected to the mains electricity. We also pay for a regular cleaning service every two-weeks. The Good Life Farm Shop (Cobbs) is 50 yards away with a friendly Cafe serving food all-day, a little bakery, a cheese stand, a deli counter, it also has an award winning butcher (only one in Winchester), boutique wine & beer shop, a florist, a trendy gift shop and garden nursery. On Wednesday a local Southampton based fishmonger sets up outside. The Cart & Horses Pub is a 10 minute walk from Appledown, an 18th Century country pub with traditional British menu with grilled dishes and local ales. This is just one of many award winning local country pubs in the area (The Globe, Bush Inn, Wykeham Arms, The Shoe, The Chestnut Horse etc). We are super Baby, Infant & Child Friendly: We have a one Ikea high-chair, a Mothercare travel cot with sheets, kids cutlery/plates/cups, big chest with toys and one stair-gate for the first flight of stairs. The downstairs (stairs entrance) has a door. Pets: No pets allowed to accommodate our guests with allergies and helps keep the house sparkling clean. Sorry. Location: We live in the first village 1 mile or so from Winchester train station & easy access by M3, A34 by car. There are fast trains to London (Waterloo or Paddington - under an hour), Basingstoke, Southampton, Poole, Weymouth, Reading, Bristol and Manchester. Easy access / close to: South Downs National Park, New Forest National Park, Stonehenge, Arlesford (Watercress Line), Itchen Abbas, Avington, Easton, Stockbridge, Southampton, Salisbury, Andover, Twyford, Cheriton, Alton, Basingstoke, Christchurch, Chichester, Lymington, Isle of Wight, Bournemouth, Swanage, Poole etc. Things to-do with kids: Mid Hants Railway 'Watercress Line', Marwell Zoo, Paultons Park Home of Peppa Pig World, Winchester Science Centre & Planetarium, Finkley Down Farm, Library, Leisure Centre, Blue flag Sandy Beaches, Arundel Castle, Victoria Country Park, Bowling, Cinema.
