Description

2 double bedrooms and one twin bedroom. Oil fired central heating. Stunning views from the front of the house. Virtually midway between Tarbet and Stornoway, on the Steornabhagh A859 - Tairbeart Road, making it a great base to explore Lewis and Harris. Coffee shop and local hub 200m away. Hotel/bar nearby for eating out. The space The views are outsanding and always changing, regardless of the season. The home is comfortable and relaxing, with the cosy glow of the glass fronted stove in the living room, leather seating and a good sized garden at the rear. Fishing, hiking, bird watching or solitude. There are many lochs nearby, both fresh and salt water, with one in in view in front of the house and some fresh water lochs about 15 mins walk behind the house. This is a 3 bedroom semi detached house. The living room has a commanding view over Loch Erisort towards The Clisham, at 799 metres the highest mountain in the Outer Hebrides. The house forms part of a small housing scheme built around the 1960's from Swedish kit. Many guests have told us the bedrooms are surprisingly spacious [one is 15 feet long]. These are their opinions. There is a kitchen with dining area, living room and bathroom. The radiators are heated by combi boiler. The house does have stairs. Children are welcome. If you have any special requirements for your children, please let us know in advance. Floors downstairs and upstairs are mostly laminate. We find this more hygienic. There is a small garden at the front and a generous garden at the rear. The house is situated in picturesque Balallan which, at almost 4 miles long, is the longest village on the Isle of Lewis and indeed Northern Scotland. This is an honest and factual representation of the house. Guest access The guests can access the whole house, except the attic. Registration Details ES00307F
