Charming Kuskbostaden in Hajstorp by Göta Canal

Hajstorp is an idyllic spot by Göta Kanal, about 5 km north of Töreboda. In Hajstorp there is a café and hostel. At the southwestern end of Hajstorp is the Canal Engineer's Villa, which was the official residence of the canal engineers between 1902 and 1977. Today, the Lahrin family lives in the villa. In a secluded part of the large garden is the small coachman's house. It is from the mid 19th-century but has been carefully equipped with a toilet and a small kitchenette. A simple place to stay for those who appreciate old buildings. The space The cottage is very simple and is best suited for two people but there is an extra bed as well as the possibility for a child to sleep in the pull-out sofa. The kitchenette is equipped with 2 stovetops (slow), microwave, kettle, small fridge, coffee maker and sink. There are dishes and kitchen utensils for simple cooking for 3-4 people. The cabin also has a toilet with sink. In the cabin itself, there is only cold water, but as a guest you have access to a service building, about 100 meters from the cabin. There is a shower, washing machine and dryer. Next to the service house, there is a wood-fired sauna that can be rented in the café in Hajstorp. In the garden, there is the possibility to barbecue and sit in one of the garden's three pavilions. At the canal, there is a small jetty with a bathing ladder where you can take a morning or evening swim. Guest access As a guest, you have access to the entire coachman's house and the part of the garden where the cottage is located. Other things to note If you are looking for hotel-standard accommodation, the cottage is not what you are looking for. The cottage is simple and from the mid-1800s. As a guest, you are expected to clean the cottage yourself after your stay. Sheets can be rented from the host. Breakfast can be ordered in the lock café. We ourselves can also, during certain periods, provide a breakfast basket that we then put out in the cottage. If so, please contact us if you're interested in it.
