Max's House- Cozy Home on BRParkway Farm

Great location just 1/2 mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway at MP 152. Surrounded by open fields, mountain vistas abound. This home has been lived in and gently loved for many years. There is one bedroom downstairs and two upstairs. An extra cot is available. Fully equipped kitchen! Great for families and a long stay. Guests are invited to join us when feeding the farm animals (alpacas, llamas, Highland cattle, Jacob sheep and angora goats) each morning. Fun! The space Built in the late 30's, Max's House is a classic farmhouse with updates for comfort. Updated bath and kitchen add comforts travelers desire while the flavor of the original home is maintained. Lacy curtains, wooden floors, paneled walls and rockers abound. The home gives you a hug as soon as you enter the door. Max's House is nearly 100 years old...a trip back to a slower, simpler time. Guest access Guests have the entire house at their disposal. Acres of field and a babbling creek await wanderers just out the back door. In season, apple trees droop with bright red fruit next to the house. A walk to the end of the road (a dead end) leaves visitors in awe at the long range mountain views. Enjoy! Other things to note Max's house has one (small) full bathroom on the first floor. A twin cot is available in the second floor bedroom closet suitable for children. PETS: Well-behaved pets are allowed (no cats). There is a $10 fee per pet for the entire stay, not per day.
