Description
Detached small cottage with its own entrance, parking and outside sitting area. Outside Easterton village on the hill with spectacular views of Salisbury Plain, stunning sunsets, no light pollution and quiet at night. Close to many interesting sites. The cottage is one good-sized room, with central heating, en suite shower/toilet, kitchen area and storage cupboard. Cottage sleeps two (double bed). Please note I am unable to accommodate dogs. The space The cottage offers one double bed, two comfy chairs, dining table with chairs, en suite shower/toilet, wardrobe & storage cupboard, and kitchen. The kitchen includes gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer and all necessary cutlery, china and utensils. Please also note that all bedding has been renewed: new mattress and topper, new pillows and bed linen. The outside area is gravel with various plant containers with annual and perennial flowers and herbs, seating and table for al fresco meals. The property is set in 3.5 acres of organic pastureland where I am developing a small wood, a permaculture forest garden, submerged greenhouse for growing fruit and winter vegetables, in addition to a kitchen garden. There is a meadow and paddock. I have chickens (fresh free-range organic eggs usually available) and a couple of bee hives, and a cat. It is a rural area with many wonderful walks in the nearby. Guest access Honeywood is a place of big skies, starry nights and magnificent sunsets. You are welcome to wander around the property (3.5 acres, comprising wood, open field with trees, a paddock and fruit garden). Sitting by the wildlife pond watching dragonflies and bees, looking towards the wood and the field is a peaceful and restful escape from the world. There are benches scattered throughout the property for quiet contemplation of the views. Other things to note Good walking boots or wellies are recommended, plus warm clothes for outdoors. The cottage is quite warm in winter, and cool in summer.
