Truly a safe haven, perfect for a solo traveler, with single bed, desk, PLUS mini-fridge. Decorated with art and antiques. Quiet, natural surroundings, with street or driveway parking. Tarrytown's Main Street and MetroNorth Train Station are 2.5 miles away. Major grocery, hotels are a short walk. 1st TIME GUESTS PLEASE CHECK IN BY 9pm. The space OVERVIEW • Check in is usually 4-8 pm. 1st time guests will be asked to check in by 9 PM. • This private room is the ONLY room that I rent. • There is a lock on the room's door, and you can lock it from inside. • There is a small desk and chair in the room plus a mini-fridge. • WIFI is easy - network/password will be provided upon arrival. • Bed linens, blankets, and towels will be supplied. • Central AC for the hottest days. • There is a RokuTV in the room for watching streaming channels plus Netflix, Hulu, and Max. • There's a major supermarket - Stop & Shop within walking distance. • Two cats consider my house their home. However I do not them into the guest room! TO BOOK… Preference given to those who have a profile and positive reviews. THE LOCATION • Located 2-3 miles from Main Street and Tarrytown Train Station. • Just one block from Glenville Woods Park Preserve. • Easy access to all highways/major roads - the Mario C. Cuomo Bridge (formerly the Tappan Zee), 287, 87, Saw Mill River Parkway, Route 9, Route 9A, Route 119. • A Stop & Shop supermarket, the Westchester Marriott, and a Sheraton (with a Starbucks and a restaurant), and 2 other extended stay hotels -- all within short walking distance. • Siemens Healthineers is only 2 blocks away. • DoubleTree, Regeneron, EF School, Westchester Medical Center, New York Medical College, and Phelps Hospital are located within 3-5 miles. • You'll most likely want a car to see the local sights such as Lyndhurst Castle, Stone Barns, and Sleepy Hollow - they are all within 5 miles. SEE MORE IN THE GETTING AROUND SECTION HOUSE RULES/OTHER INFO • FIRST TIME GUESTS MUST CHECK IN BY 9 PM. • House is very quiet especially from 10 pm - 6 am. • Unregistered guests are not allowed. • No smoking or candles on the premises. • No excessive drinking, and no recreational drug use. • Please do not invite the cats into the guest room, and please do not let cats outside. • Sorry, no "guest pets" are allowed. • Washer and dryer are available to guests staying 7 days or more. Guest access In addition to guest room and bath, there's the dining area, and patio with a grill. The kitchen microwave is available for warming foods. During your stay If you need any directions or recommendations, just ask, and I'd be happy to guide you. Otherwise, I'll respect your privacy.
