This is 4-sleeper Cottage with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. It is situated next to the swimming pool, and has its own garden. The veranda has a great view of the Drakensberg Mountains, and of the neighbouring farmlands. This cottage is ideal for two couples, or a family of four. The Kitchen is fully equipped, and the dining room is open planned with the lounge. This leads onto the veranda, which looks out onto the mountains. There is a fireplace for cold winter evenings and fans for summer. The space Hill Billy’s Self Catering Accommodation is based in the Champagne Valley, Central Drakensberg. The cottages are ideally located in the heart of the Valley, making it easy for you to enjoy the local activities and attractions. Our favourite activities are local hiking trails, Drakensberg Boys Choir School, Falcon Ridge , horse riding, local shops and boutique restaurants. The cottages are run by your hosts, William and Hilda Thornhill, who have been hosting guests since 1996. The cottages are on a working vegetable farm, so you and your family can enjoy and experience the farming environment, explore the grounds, and visit the sheep! The accommodation we offer is made up of a 2-sleeper cottage, two 4-sleeper cottage, and a 6- sleeper cottage. The property driveway is lined with a pecan nut trees, and the Champagne mountain range provides an exquisite and dramatic backdrop to the cottages. The Kitchens have: a microwave, fridge, stove/oven, and dishwasher. Each cottage has braai facilities. DSTV is available, but this is on a request basis, and is not included in the cost per night. There is a swimming pool for you to enjoy and cool off in the hot summer months, and it has one of the best views in the Berg. A perfect way to unwind! Each cottage has a fireplace, making each cottage a comfortable and cosy place to relax in the winter. Electric blankets add extra warmth to each bed, during the winter. Guest access Guests will have access to the 2 bedroom cottage, surrounding gardens, and communal swimming pool. Other things to note Private vehicle parking is close to the cottage.
