Located in the heart of the historic district, just walking distance from metro Allende, the Zocalo, Bellas Artes, Cathedral, Torre Mayor, and many museums and restaurants. This listing is an apartment located on the terrace of a 18th Century building that used to be a Spanish school for girls and was recently restored and turned into apartments by the Mexican government and the government of Andalusia (Spain). We only do check-in no later than 9pm at night. If needed, please contact us first and maybe we can make an arrangement with time and for an additional cost. Guests have full access to both apartments. The apartments have a separate access that is only accessable to them and three other apartments, the other apartments have an artist from Argentina who uses the apartment as his studio, a history professor from UNAM, and a small family. I, my husband, or a friend will meet you at the door at your check-in time to show you the apartments, explain the area, and help you with any information you may need to help you get around Mexico City more smoothly. The neighborhood is located in the middle of the historic district. Just four blocks in the east you have the Zocalo, Cathedral, Templo Mayor, National Palace, and four blocks to the west you have Bellas Artes, Parque Alameda, Garabaldi, Casa de Azulejos, and the Latin Tower and in the middle plenty of museums and restaurants. The building is four blocks from Metro Zocalo (East), Bellas Artes (west) , or Allende (south). The street that the property is located on is only designated for the metrobus line 4 which goes from downtown to Buena Vista (the train station) or from downtown to the airport. What I loved about this property when I found it is that you really become involved with the Mexican community. This property is not a hotel. It is an apartment where you get a real ethnic experience and get to know the city and its people well.
