The Eider Barrage provides protection from winter storms 7 km away, the seaside resort of St. Peter-Ording can be reached in about 12 km. The sea with a guarded swimming area in Vollerwiek is only about 4 km away. For family celebrations or other events, the Haubarg Windschuur can also be rented in its entirety if requested in good time. The spacious hall and the extensive garden with its old trees offer a noble North German ambience and comfortable overnight accommodation for more than 40 people. The town of Garding with its shopping, restaurants, cafés, weekly market and various events is also only about 2 km away.
