The space The small quiet village of Pastine Superiore is situated on the hill s at about 4 Km from Levanto . It is surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and Mediterranean scrubs. The origin of this village dates back to the Middle Ages: at the time people lived more likely on the top of the Hills rather than by the sea .Nowadays only a few families live during the whole year in Pastine: they cultivate olive trees, vineyards and vegetables and sell their products. The house is just inside the little village and you can reach it walking up along a short stone lane. Cars can’t enter inside the village but you can leave it along the street in the free marked car parks. There aren’t any shops and in the little square there is a pretty old church in front of which people meet in the evening to chat before going to bed: it’s a real paradise of peace. The three-storeys house has a typical pink façade with a nice white wooden front door. On the ground floor there is a square hall and through a door you can enter a useful laundry-room with a washing machine, wardrobe, ironing table and sink. Going up the stairs a few steps lead you to the living room furnished with a nice sofa, table and chairs and a chest of drawers. A typical ardesia stone table separates the white Kitchen from the dining room. On that table you can have your breakfast in the morning . The kitchen is all black and white with hand painted tiles from Vietri (a town near Naples) like those in the two bathrooms. In the Kitchen there is a fridge, a dishwasher and a oven. A few steps lead you up to the night zone. The two bedrooms each with its own Italian bathroom (with toilet inside) face on a small nice terrace looking at the sea: one is a double room , the other is a two beds room. At night the sight is really wonderful from there: it looks like you could touch the stars by your hands. The bathrooms are equipped one by a shower and the other by a bathtub. Guest access The house is at complete and exclusive disposal of the host family. You can reach Levanto by car (exit Carrodano on the A12 motorway) or by train. The car is recommended for a confortable stay in Pastine. However Pastine is connected to Levanto also by a bus (three / four times a day depending on the season) or by taxi ( to book in advance). For those who love walking it takes 50 minutes to town center. To reach the 5 Lands the easiest way is the train ( 5 minutes train to Monterosso). But you can reach very quickly also all the art cities: Genova(80 km),Pisa(100km),Florence(160km). Moreover twice a day there are boats starting for a daily trip to the Five Lands and Portofino from Villa Agnelli peer. Other things to note The house can be reached by walking along the village lanes for a few minutes. It is therefore not recommended for guests who have mobility issues.
