Casa La Mortilla - "I Pesci" Room

La Mortilla, a 4 rooms B&B, is a place for people looking for silence, far from everything. The property is surrounded by 3 hectars land cultivated with olive trees, almond trees, pistachio trees and vineyard. The old house, in stones, is built on the edge of a 400 mt above the sea level hill, dominating the river Platani valley, the coast from Siculiana to Sciacca and the mountains of Caltabellotta and Raffadali. The space The Room "I Pesci" (The fishes in english) is a super bright 16 square metres room on the second floor of the building, accessible from the external stair, with two huge windows overlooking the olive grove, the valley "della Monaca" and in the background, Raffadali Village. It is decorated with paintings on the walls belonged to our families since a long time and with design furnitures from Italy and north Europe, which give a good feeling of modern and warm at the same time. The bathroom is private with a comfortable 120x80 cm shower. Guest access The guests have full access to all the shared areas, except the kitchen which is not a shared area. Moreover they have free access to the pool. The pool is 70 mt far from the house and it is surrounded by olive trees and palms on three sides. The fourth side is a limitless cascade side with a stunning view on the coast, the valley and the mountains. The pool is 12mt long and 6 mt wide, so swimming is allowed. The pool has it's own bathroom, the "open air" shower with hot water produced by solar panel and a wide shadowed area to rest during the hottest hours of the day. Other things to note As a consequence of the hosting philosophy we are thinking to follow, the ones wishing to stay for a light lunch or for dinner will be welcome for an extra fee to exchange feelings, experiences and friendship around the big tables in the house or in the external kitchen.
