The Rote Kate is an extremely charming eco-friendly half-timbered house and is located between the Baltic Sea fjord Schlei and the Baltic Sea. It belongs to the historic Priesholz estate and dates back to the 19th century. After a very careful renovation with exclusively sustainable ecological building materials, this gem has been saved and is now available for use. The space clay plaster now provides our guests with a wonderful indoor climate. It is heated with a highly innovative wall-mounted radiant heater. Of course, there is also a fireplace for the cozy winter days. In the 2 bathrooms and the bedrooms, old beams for the washbasin and beds could be installed. A terrace adjacent to the house opens up the quiet area of the large fenced garden. The wellness area for all our guests on the farm leaves nothing to be desired with its Finnish sauna and infrared cabin. The idyllic location of this beautiful ecologically sustainable cottage is impressive. In the avenue to our estate between Schlei and the Baltic Sea, you will find pure relaxation. From here you can wonderfully explore the untouched natural and coastal landscape of the Angeln region, or stroll around the harbor in the nearby Schleistädtchen Kappeln. The villages of the rural area are characterized by golden rapeseed and corn fields, medieval churches and old thatched cottages with lush cottage gardens. The excellent water quality of the numerous natural beaches and the slightly hilly landscape promises balm for body and soul. In addition, there are a variety of leisure activities such as surfing, kite surfing, sailing, tennis, cycling, hiking, walking, canoeing and rowing. Culturally, Schleswig, Flensburg or a trip to Denmark offer a varied program. We look forward to welcoming you!
