The house has a past where the local carpenter made furniture for the Mandø residents. We have renovated the house with recycled stones with imprints of chicken feet and cat paws. It is not good for those with walking difficulties. . There is no luxury here, but there is what you need. From the terrace, there is a lovely view of animals and fields. The grounds have a rich bird life, and you will be able to see the thousands of geese resting on the island. If you get up early, you will meet the hare eating his breakfast in the apple orchard. At the end of the day, we have visits from the neighbor's chickens in search of worms and other critters. A Chromecast is installed in the house's TV Guest access You have your own garden with access from the house's patio door. But of course, you are welcome to use the entire property. Other things to note Tides You can easily drive to Mandø by car. The Låningsvejen road is 60 cm higher than the seabed and is flooded twice a day. But you must always make sure that the current water level allows you to drive your own car. (see DMI's water level measurements at Mandø). We always have contact with our guests before they set out on the causeway. You can also get to and from the island with the tractor buses (Mandø Kro and tractor buses) We built the house ourselves. The house is very unique, and with many quirks that make the house something special. The house is both suitable for immersion and coziness. There is a certain calm in the house. A high chair can be borrowed. Please let us know. I have a lot of focus on the house appearing clean and nice before moving in. Since we live out in nature, cobwebs may occur.
