Enjoy the entire home. Large historic home near Downtown, Azalea Trail and Hospital areas. Plenty of Entertainment, Food, Coffee, Drinks, and Shopping nearby. We have a Library/Game Room stocked with books and games. Piano, Guitar, and Cajon are on hand and ready to play. We even have a house mystery with escape room like clues to follow and solve if you get bored. You will be impressed with the small things and attention to detail From the amazingly restored 100 year old house and architecture to the modern conveniences, Wren in the Willows is very unique. Each room is themed after great classic books with an attention to detail, including chocolates, charge stations, and bedside lamps in each room for those who enjoy a good book at night. A house mystery will help pass any idle time you may have, and has a reputation for keeping people up late in anticipation of solving the story! Enjoy the front porch with furniture, beautiful wind chimes, and a breeze even on the days of no wind. All guest are allowed to utilize the fantastic kitchen, equipped with all new LG appliances, a full set of pots and pans, 2 sets of dishware, and "basic" foods already provided (eggs, cereal, bread, lunch meat, and drinks). Brookshire's Grocery is just a few miles away if you want to plan a home cooked meal. The library is full of books and games in which all guests are welcome. Plan a game with other guests if you choose, or just take something to the front porch or bedroom if you wish to have some quiet space. The front porch is amazing, which wind chimes, furniture and even bug spray when the mosquitos are biting. The backyard has a patio space to enjoy as well as a few yard games if you choose. The living space has musical instruments anyone is welcome to use and a few times people have been known to gather together and make some great music! We do not live in the home. However, we may be in and out occasionally. We absolutely love setting up cheese and crackers or warm cookies and playing board/card games with guests and friends that like the same. However, we also understand the importance of unplugging and getting away for some private or alone space. Either way, you will find the perfect space for your individual needs. Unless you rented the entire home, we may have guests in other rooms and may see them around the house. Wren in the Willows is walking distance from famous Stanley's BBQ, Strada Cafe, Janie's cakes, and downtown with the Art Gallery, many wonderful restaurants, live music venues, ETX brewery and many shops! We are located a few blocks from downtown, but if you don't want to walk, the parking garage is only a couple blocks away as well.
