Large Sunny Room with Cliffe View

This double room has a very comfortable king-size bed, a built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, a small table and two chairs. There is a bathroom with a bath/shower/sink and a separate loo and sink. I provide a continental breakfast of fruit salad, yogurt, cereal, croissants/toast etc. Gluten-free and wheat-free provided for on request. The space This house, in the beautiful historic town of Lewes, is in a perfect location, being quiet and at the same time central. You are just around the corner from a wonderful selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, Lewes's biggest selection of antique shops, traditional pubs and Harvey's brewery while at the same time being minutes from the tranquillity of the South Downs and the river. It is a stroll up the high street to the castle and ten minutes’ walk to the railway station and five minutes to the bus stops. My home is comfortable and has my personal belongings in it - books, records, paintings, wood carvings, piano, my cat etc. You are welcome to play the piano or light a fire on cold winter nights. As you can see from the photos it is not a modern house or modern décor. It is not a hotel, so if that is what you want it would not suit you. I love it and I love my guests to love it - if they see the magic then they add magic to the house. I love my guests to feel at home which is why I want it to attract the sort of people who will feel at home here. The garden is also a little oasis (not manicured). I like planting flowers that attract bees and butterflies and I have lovely fragrant climbing rose. It is a lovely place to sit in the summer. Guest access The guests will have access to the garden and kitchen and living room. Guests are welcome to play the piano or sit by the log fire in the winter. During your stay I am happy to be of help and answer any questions or give advice on walks, restaurants or places to visit in Lewes and the surrounding area. Free use of wifi, plus tea and coffee making facilities, washing machine, hair dryer and iron. I will provide parking permits for your stay, free of charge. I share my home with a very friendly cat, Esme. Also I am a qualified massage therapist, reflexologist and Alexander Technique teacher so you can let me know if you would like to book a treatment in my dedicated treatment room at the end of the garden. I can provide guided walks (including walking with Alexander Technique) for a small additional fee. Other things to note I also have two other double rooms, "Charming Room with Rose View" with shared bathroom and “Castle View attic room”, with en suite, and also let out the entire home (“Charming Victorian Terraced House”) at times. During the summer months there is a two-night minimum stay at weekends for the room. However last-minute bookings are sometimes available for one night.
