A cot and highchair are available on request. There are several stunning sandy beaches all within a 5 - 10 minute drive of the villa. The villa is only a short drive/taxi ride to Carvoeiro centre from where there are boat trips to the vast array of caves and caverns in the area. There is a scuba diving centre nearby, kayaking, pedaloes and much more. Carvoeiro hosts many open-air musical events throughout the summer months. The ground floor consists of open plan living / dining area which opens onto a large terrace overlooking the swimming pool, a fully equipped, recently renovated kitchen, two bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom, and a further family bathroom. On the first floor resides the master bedroom with double bed, en-suite bathroom and a spacious first floor terrace with stunning views of the surrounding area and distant sea views. Inside the villa is an information book with emergency contact numbers and useful information about the villa and the local area. Guests are also provided with a 24h contact number so they can contact the property manager in the event of a problem or with regards to any questions pertaining to the house. We recommend hiring a car when staying at Casa Prensa. However buses are available in the area and local taxi firm numbers are provided in the house information book. Tourist tax Please note that on 13th April 2024 a new law was passed approving a new tourism tax (Taxa Municipal Turística de Lagoa). All guests aged 13 years and over are required to pay this tax. The amount is €2 per person per night during high season (April – October) and €1 per person per night during low season (November – March). There is a cap of 7 nights on the tax. Therefore for all reservations in excess of 7 nights, you still only pay the tax for 7. Guest access Guests will have the sole use of the house, driveway, terraces and swimming pool.
