Description

A traditional weavers cottage in the hill top village of Midgley overlooking the Calder Valley. An ideal location for hill walking, fell running, cycling or just relaxing in a beautiful setting. A short walk away from Midgley Moor with it's historic standing stones and burial chambers, or a short distance from Hebden Bridge with it's independent shops, cafe's and restaurants. Ideal for a weekend away in a traditional Yorkshire Stone cottage with mullion windows. Well behaved dog welcome. The space 66 Towngate is a cosy cottage with central heating throughout. The house is practical and comfortable. A fully equipped kitchen with 4 plate electric hob and a full size oven. There is an electric kettle, a microwave and all the utensils and kitchenware you will need to just heat up or cook a meal. We have good WIFI and also a TV with integrated DVD player. Some DVDs are provided. The bathroom has a shower, small sink and toilet. There is a standard double bed in the bedroom with a king size duvet. The annex room has a writing desk, hairdryer and lovely views over the valley. Both this room and the bedroom have blinds and curtains. There is plenty of space for your clothes and belongings in the wall cupboards. The views are absolutely stunning and although the cottage is just below the moor, access to Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd is very good. Guest access The whole property is available for guests. Also a lockable stone built outbuilding across the road (the old toilet) is there to keep pushbikes and larger items secure. Other things to note I was brought up in a medical household and trained and worked in the medical sector for years myself. I sat various food hygiene examinations and am aware of contamination etc. I will prepare the cottage as cleanly for you as I would for myself; I am quite picky😄. All hard surfaces, the sofa, light switches, door handles etc will be disinfected. I always put two pillow cases on each pillow ( they both get changed at all times ), the mattress has a protector and sheet on it. All blankets and rugs will be washed after every visitor. Also all kitchen cloths and towels will be washed at high temperature and the dish brush goes in my dishwasher after each guest. There is tea, coffee and a few other things there for you to use if you like. I always provide milk and butter just for your use and there will be bread in the freezer.
