There is a ping pong table, BBQ and WiFi The story: The Partoucie castle was built in 1854 on the foundations of an old medieval castle. The first owner, himself an officer who fought in the East with the troops of Bonaparte, of French origin, opted for a Moorish style but could not see his dream fulfilled since he died before the interior was finished. The population increased during the Second World War with the arrival of refugees at the Château, directed by Conrad Kickert (1882-1965), the Dutch painter from Montparnasse. The next owner continued the work, but didn't get a chance either. Since 1998 "The Chateau Plat" - as it is called in the surrounding area - has been refurbished by Dutch people who have been welcoming guests there since the summer of 1998.
