Welcome to our home! We are a delightful cottage nestled in a scenic village, ideal for couples, friends, business trips, weddings & family get aways. The cottage boasts 2 king-size rooms, 1 nursery with toddler JCB bed & a ground floor king size bedroom. The cottage offers a bespoke kitchen, rain shower, oak doors, parquet flooring, cozy wood burner, expansive garden, hot tub & parking for 3 cars/LWB van. Located near M1, A1, Hodsock Priory, Thoresby & Sherwood Forest & Sheffield. The space Welcome to Rosewall Cottage, our home, a lovely, character-filled home that dates back to the 1500s. Wake up to the peaceful sounds of birds and enjoy your morning coffee by the pond outside. We have a large private drive with space for three cars or two long-wheelbase van, plus secure bike storage in our garage. Our garden is home to two rescue ex-battery chickens who lay fresh eggs daily! They live in a gated section of the garden, which is fully enclosed. So, if you're bringing a dog, there's no need to worry—the chickens are safely contained in their own area. There's also a gate if you'd like to visit the chickens and collect their eggs! The cozy sitting room features a log burner, wooden shutters overlooking the driveway, a large corner sofa, and two separate chairs. You’ll also have access to a smart TV with streaming apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Spotify, and YouTube. Our dining room is ideal for both relaxation and entertaining, featuring a large billiards table, a comfortable two-seater sofa, a flat-screen TV, and a dining table for six. We also have a Maxi-Cosi highchair available for children and infants. For added fun, you’ll find classic games like Scrabble and Twister for the whole family to enjoy! The kitchen is fully equipped for everyone, including a dishwasher, double fridge and freezer, Range Master induction hob, two ovens, a Ninja air fryer, a double Belfast sink, kettle, microwave, and toaster. The breakfast room has seating for four, and the utility room has a washer and dryer. We also provide child-friendly cups, cutlery, and plates. The garden room is super relaxing offering large, cosy sofa, and stunning views of the garden. It’s the perfect spot to relax, listen to the soothing sounds of the waterfall, and observe night time wildlife like hedgehogs, owls, and bats. Upstairs, you’ll find two modern bathrooms each with a large walk-in rain shower, toilet, sink. Our larger upstairs bathroom also has a very special Witt & Berg Nickle bath. The master bedroom, located upstairs has a king-size bed, wooden shutters, a double wardrobe, and side tables. The second bedroom upstairs also features a king-size bed, wooden shutters on both windows, a quad wardrobe, and bathrobes for guest use. The nursery has a JCB toddler bed, sensory lights, a double wardrobe, and a nursing chair for added comfort. We also have a travel cot should this be needed and it can be set up in any bedroom. The ground floor bedroom, is located at the end of the cottage and has a king size bed, open wardrobe with two windows which have wooden shutters and bathrobes. All towels, bath robes and bed linen are provided for our guests. Outside you’ll find a spacious rear garden with a metal table and four chairs, four sun loungers, two large out door sofas, a nature pond with a waterfall, beautiful sun-trap areas, and a wood-fired hot tub for four people. There’s also a lovely patio area around the pond. You’ll have access to free Wi-Fi, a welcome pack with details on local pubs, walks, and things to do nearby, and an Alexa multi-room speaker system for seamless music throughout the cottage. The oil-fired central heating system is controlled with a HIVE system. Standard check-in is at 4 PM and check-out is at 10 AM, but we are happy to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs for a small fee, with prior arrangement. Please note that smoking or vaping is only permitted outside. We welcome well behaved dogs in the cottage. We truly hope you enjoy your stay in our special cottage. Guest access As a guest in our cottage, you’re welcome to enjoy everything it has to offer – from the entire cottage and parking area to the charming wood-burning hot tub. Take a stroll through our private, spacious garden, complete with a peaceful waterfall and pond, perfect for adding a touch of tranquillity and calm to your stay. Other things to note Please note that our stairs are open with no handrail. We have a baby gate at the bottom and top of the stairs. We kindly ask guests to take extra care when using the stairs, especially when carrying belongings, for your safety. The cottage offers self-catering accommodation with a large driveway that can accommodate at least 3 cars or 2 long-wheelbase vans.
