Saharanta sauna cottage welcomes you to the countryside of beautiful Central Finland! Our sauna cottage is a pleasant little cabin by the lake Keitele in Konginkangas. It has one main room with a dining table, fridge, a microwave, an electricity stove and a kettle. The sleeping room upstairs is open space with the main room. Our 5-member family (and a friendly dog and 2 cats) is living in the mainhouse at the same garden. Your private toilet and shower are located in the main house. The space Saharanta sauna cottage is a cozy and fresh little cabin by the beautiful lake Keitele. It is perfect for 2-3 people. The cottage is located in a peaceful garden by the lake, but only 2 km from the busy E4. Our place is a good spot to have a break and enjoy the beautiful Finnish countryside for example on the way to Lapland. It has a main room with dining table and a comfy chair. You can find basic kitchen utilities: a fridge with tiny freezer locker, a microwave, a stove with a little oven, pots and pans and cutlery. We also have an electric grill to use outside. If you miss something, we have everything in the main house. If needed, you can also cook and do the dishes in the main house. The cottage doesn't have running water, we arrange it for you from the main house. The cottage doesn't have a bathroom, but you will have a private toilet and shower in the main house with own entrance. The distance is about 65 steps, measured by middle-aged female house owner :D We also have a friendly old dog Alex and two cats, Pentti and Tintti. Traditional Finnish sauna at the cottage is included in the price, and we'll give you a guidance how to use it. Sleeping room is open space upstairs with double-size bed and a thick mattress at the floor. The stairs are more like a ladder, you can check them in the pictures. They are quite steep. We have renovated the cottage to be our little retreat with twist of Finnish design, hope you will feel the same way! Guest access The cottage doesn’t have a bathroom. The guests will have a private bathroom and a shower in our house in the same yard, with own entrance. Grocery store and pharmacy is only half a kilometer way in a village centre. Nature gives its best and you can find beautiful sceneries by the lake Keitele by canoeing, rowing a boat, swimming and hiking. Use of the traditional Finnish sauna, rowing boat and life jackets and bicycles are included in the price. We also have fishing rods to try. Additional services: Breakfast 10 e/person (porridge, yogurt, dark and light bread, cold cuts and vegetables, egg. Coffee, tea, juice. Hot tube 100 e Kayak (1 person) 15 e / day Canoe (2 persons) 25 e / day including life jackets and guidance in advance. Laundry + dryer 5 e / machine Other things to note Please note that the sauna cabin does not have its own toilet, but the shower and toilet are in the main building. The bathroom has its own entrance, and the facilities are for guests only. There are about 65 steps from the cottage to the house, as measured by a middle-aged, brisk woman! There is no running water in the cottage, but we will carry water for you from the main house. The cottage rental includes a sauna and the use of a boat and bicycles. We charge a separate price for the canoe, kayak, sauna and breakfast. Alex, the old and relaxed gold digger, occasionally wanders around the yard. Our two cats, old Pentti and lively Tintti, may also greet you. We organize guided tours to nearby nature sites according to wishes and possibilities, and we update the tour information in the guidebook.
