The Laurel Room self contained 10 min city centre

*1 Night Bookings Taken* The Laurel Room is situated in the picturesque village of Duxford, just 9 miles south of the City and within walking distance of Whittlesford station where trains into Cambridge take 10mins. IWM Duxford is nearby and there are fine countryside walks and several gastro pubs, restaurants and cafes to choose from locally. The M11 is just over a mile away and Addenbrookes, AstraZeneca, Granta Park, Babraham Institute and Wellcome Genome Campus are a short distance by car. The space A newly created self-contained en-suite room with its own private front door entrance, finished to an architectural design with a light, comfortable interior, attached to our house and with off-road parking. Inside, you will find an entrance hall with chair and shelving unit containing a kettle, mugs, tea and coffee provisions and a mini fridge. We also provide welcome cookies, milk and a small fruit basket for our guests to enjoy. There is an en-suite shower room with electric shower, basin and wc. A free-standing clothes rail with shelving offers space to hang and fold clothes, and a wall-mounted smart TV is provided with access to Netflix, BBC Iplayer etc. The feature double bed has 100% cotton bedding and luxury throw and cushions. With considered interior design and a careful choice of finishes throughout, The Laurel Room provides an inviting, homely, stylish and quiet space for up to 2 guests to enjoy. Please note there are no cooking facilities at The Laurel Room. Cafe Four is a few minutes walk away in the village where you can get breakfast. Alternatively, M&S Simply Food can be found 2.6 miles away at the BP service station where there is also a McDonald’s. The Laurel Room does not offer any outdoor space and the front garden is not to be used. If you are looking for more space please take a look at our annex airbnb Beech Trees which is much larger and has a kitchen/living/dining room accommodating up to 4 guests. You can use the room as a great base to explore this famous city, or equally take a break relax and enjoy the village/s and surrounding countryside - not forgetting to sample the various fantastic pubs along the way! Guest check-out is by 10am and check-in is from 4pm. Guest access The Laurel Room is a private self-contained en-suite room within our property with its own front door (with keysafe). You have the use of the room to yourselves. Our family of 2+2 and Freddie the (very friendly) Labrador live in the adjoining house, and we are on-hand should you need anything, otherwise we will leave you in peace. Off-road parking for 1 vehicle is provided however there is always space to park opposite on the road. No outdoor recreational space is provided at The Laurel Room and guests are not to use the front garden. Other things to note Duxford is a picturesque village set in some of the finest South Cambridgeshire countryside, approximately 9 miles from Cambridge City Centre. There are excellent local facilities including a shop, two public houses, The Lodge Duxford with its popular restaurant and café, and the well-regarded Four cafe. There is also a new Village Community Centre and popular Café-19, a recreation ground and children’s play area, as well as a community orchard. A beauty salon and a hairdressers is also in the village.
