Lyncreek Cottage

Lyncreek Cottage is open year round. it sits on private property on Lyndhurst river in Lyndhurst, Ontario. Observe various types of waterfowl or enjoy the sound of our meandering river as it flows into Lyndhurst Lake. This is all part of the natural surroundings in your own private cottage. A great place to stay if you are travelling through the area or while enjoying all the area has to offer including excellent fishing, paddling and hiking area trails. The space Lyncreek Cottage is a one bedroom cottage with Queen bed; also a queen sofa bed and futon in living area. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a gas barbecue and fire pit with free firewood available for guest use. Satellite TV and WIFI available. All bedding and towels are provided for guests. Coffee, tea, chocolate powder, brown and white sugar, salt, pepper, vegetable oil, mustard, relish and ketchup provided. Guest access Guest have full use of the cottage and surrounding waterfront area. Other things to note Dogs welcome. The river is quite shallow and not really suitable for swimming. Bottom is rocky and you would need shoes to get out to deeper areas where you could swim. Swimming is available at Charleston Lake Provincial Park and Kendricks Park, both within a 15 minute drive. Quite close to Lyndhurst Lake but access is shallow and rocky (cannot get a canoe or kayak through to the lake easily). Canoe and kayak rental is available at Wings (main street in Lyndhurst) with access to a dock in Furnace Falls Park which is right across the street from Wings. The cottage has a window air conditioner in summer there is a ceiling fan and other fans available. Their is electric heat for fall winter and spring.
