Welcome to your beautiful garden escape in the Kiewa Valley. Attached to our historic 1870s homestead with a separate entrance is your private and very comfortable apartment. Enjoy the stunning views from your balcony, stroll the park-like gardens, or simply relax in the beautifully appointed rooms. With Mt Beauty, Yackandandah, Wodonga and Tallangatta all only 30minutes away, and the Dederang Hotel a ten minute drive, you're perfectly placed to enjoy all that the area has to offer. The space Your apartment includes a bedroom with queen-sized bed, combined living dining room with kitchenette and a spacious bathroom. The kitchenette has a coffee machine (with complimentary Honey Bird coffee pods), kettle, microwave, toaster and mini fridge. With double glazed windows, reverse-cycle air conditioning in the living room and a fan and electric blankets in the bedroom, you can be sure to be cool in summer and warm in the winter. We're set in 5 acres - about 3 of which is established gardens. Treat the gardens as your own: pick an orange off the tree, spread a blanket in a shaded nook, and if you're partial to a G&T we can show you where our makrut lime tree grows - the leaves are a fantastic addition! We have 2 shy goats and a sheep to keep the grass down in the paddocks, and you'll be able to see the neighbour's cows and the odd pack of kangaroos in the fields surrounding us. A beautiful swimming spot on the Kiewa River is a 5 minute drive or 20minute cycle ride away, and the closest village - Dederang - has superb coffee and award-winning slices at the General Store, and a fair dinkum 'aussie pub' experience at the newly famous Dederang Hotel Guest access Your garden apartment is part of a new extension that was built on the house in 2008. Access is through double doors from the deck on the far side of the house. There is an internal door that connects through to our part of the house, but that door will remained locked throughout your stay. The walls are insulated and our living room is down a corridor so it is nice and quiet. Parking is approximately 50m away from your private entrance. Other things to note Unfortunately we're not wheelchair accessible but may be suitable if you are an ambulant wheelchair user or have limited mobility. There are only a few steps into the property and it is flat once you're in, and we have a shower chair and toilet frame available if you'd like them.
