19th century rustic house with great view

A 19th century traditional winery renovated into a minimal villa with open views to the Aegean sea. The property is located in one the most serene parts of Santorini, far from the touristic crowds, overwatching the village of Akrotiri. This is a family summer-house and not a full time touristic property. Thus we are looking forward to host guests who will treat the house with respect and who can appreciate the value of a hand-made, minimal living space. The space The house has a spacious living room with a kitchen incorporated. Built-in stairs lead to a small mezzanine, right over the kitchen where an extra bed is located. A small door connects the mezzanine to the upper terrace. The master bedroom is attached to the living room. It has a king size bed and a private bathroom. The second bedroom has an indipendent entrance from the main yard. It has a double bed and its own bathroom. The house has a variety of outdoor spaces, both courts and terraces with beautiful view to the south coast of the island. According to the time of the day, there is always an area with natural shadow. Due to its south orientation, the property is protected from the north winds that usually blow during summertime. The winery was renovated following bioclimatic principles that provide the house with natural ventilation and light throughout the day. Thus, the house does not have airconditioning but there are two fans in case needed. Guest access Our guests have access to the entire property. It's an ideal choice for visitors seeking to experience Santorini's traditional architecture, spending some relaxing time in a handcraft environment and connect with the island's unique volcanic landscape.
