Rural Cabin - Peebles Scottish Borders

Spacious, comfortable self-catering Cabin with wood burning stove nestled in a field, beside a stream on a working farm. Everything you need for a relaxing break! We offer a unique experience that sleeps 2 individuals (either superking or separate twin bed options) in a modern open-plan layout with internal bathroom as well as outdoor eco-friendly compost toilet. You'll be based in the rural countryside yet close enough to enjoy the local attractions. Read our reviews as Guests love it! The space The Cabin sleeps 2 individuals and can be configured to either a super-king size bed or alternatively, two full-size individual beds. There’s no TV or WiFi here - by design. It’s a place to properly disconnect and enjoy the surroundings. That said, there is a strong 4G signal, so you can stay connected and bring along your own devices with downloads. The open plan layout consists of a sleeping, living, dining and kitchen area. The Wood Burning Stove heats up the Cabin beautifully. In addition to the refreshing outdoor hot shower and eco-friendly compost toilet, there is a separate indoor bathroom with sink, toilet and walk-in shower. The kitchen area has a fridge, sink, kettle, toaster, microwave, foreman grill, hot plate, slow cooker cutlery and crockery. There is also a fridge with a freezer component. Please note there is no cooker/oven. Bed linen and towels are provided. The Cabin is south facing, filled with natural daylight and the outdoor seating area can be a lovely sun trap if the Scottish weather permits. There is an outdoor dining/seating area with chimenea and BBQ facilities available. Bring wellies or walking boots to explore the scenic countryside with fantastic walks / woodland on your doorstep and surrounding area, as well as plenty of animals and wildlife to appreciate. Guest access There is ample parking but please be aware that access to the Cabin involves a short walk (approx. 80 metres) across a field that is frequently grazed by sheep so you should wear appropriate footwear. If required, we are happy to transport luggage from your vehicle to the Cabin via our UTV. At the same time the Cabin is in a secluded location, it is only 100m from the A703 making it convenient for direct access to Peebles, neighbouring Scottish Borders villages, as well as Edinburgh (approx. 40 minutes). The nearest bus stop is 500m away and taxi companies are available in nearby Peebles. Further detail is provided in the Welcome Pack. Other things to note As much as we love our four-legged friends, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate them as this is a working farm and the Cabin is often surrounded by livestock.
