The Smithy * Walking distance to Tintagel & beach

The Smithy at Beaver Cottages (AA 4* rated) is within walking distance of Tintagel & the dog-friendly sandy beach at Trebarwith Strand. The SWCP is two fields away. There are pubs, restaurants & shops in Tintagel plus the historic castle & stunning bridge. Port Isaac, Boscastle, Bude, Padstow & Bodmin Moor are only a short drive away. The location & countryside views are exceptional. The Smithy is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, or 2/3 friends. Well-behaved clean pets welcome. The space 15-minute walk or 2-minute drive to Tintagel. 25-minute walk or 5-minute drive to Trebarwith Strand beach. A short drive to Boscastle, Port Isaac, Padstow, Polzeath, and Bude. The Smithy is a cosy self-contained annex to an old Cornish lodging house. It used to be a carpenters and wheelwrights too. It has plenty of character! Its king size bedroom offers views to the sea, countryside, and (amazing!) sunsets. There is also a family bathroom with large shower, a fully equipped fitted kitchen, a dining room, a lounge with a double sofabed, a smart TV, and an enclosed garden with patio furniture. There is one off-road parking space outside the entrance to The Smithy. A shared utility room is available with a washing machine and a freezer, plus body boards, wetsuits, and beach toys you may borrow. Please note that the sofabed in the lounge is a small double in size, so The Smithy is really only suitable for up to three people, or a family with young children. We have a travel cot that will fit in the bedroom. We recommend that larger groups or families with older children book our other holiday cottage - The Lodge - at Beaver Cottages which is more spacious and child friendly. We also have a shepherd's hut (Cabin Beaver) available at an additional cost which can be used as an extra double bedroom. Please note, although The Smithy is fully private, we live in the cottage next door, and other guests may be staying at The Lodge or in the shepherd's hut which are also located at Beaver Cottages. Please be respectful and keep noise to reasonable levels. Well-behaved, clean dogs are welcome - please keep them off the bed and sofa. We have an elderly greyhound (nextdoor) who may say "hi" on occasion to your dog from the adjacent garden. If you don't have a dog, he's silent! Guest access The Smithy cottage and garden are for Smithy guests only. The laundry room is in an outbuilding a 10-second walk away and is shared with other guests at Beaver Cottages. Other things to note Central heating is provided morning and evening. There are additional electric heaters should you need them. Bedding, towels, coffee (both instant and ground for the caffetier), tea, and a jug of milk are provided. There is a stile on the driveway which will take you over two fields to the SWCP.
