Villa Torre degli Elci is located in the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside, surrounded by the iconic olive and cypress trees, just a mere 4 km from the Etruscan hill town of Cortona. The name of the villa derives from its history as an old watch tower, dating back to the 13th century, later becoming a monastery and then finally a home. Boasting views of Cortona and the Chiana valley, here you are far from the chaos and movement, surrounded by elm trees. The space Villa Torre degli Elci is a 5-bedroom / 6-bathroom property spread over 300 sqm, with a main house that has three levels, and two annex buildings. On the ground floor of the main house, there are two double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of these rooms has a fireplace. On the first floor there is another double bedroom and bathroom, as well as a large living room and dining room, with another cosy fireplace, a kitchen, and a reading room. On the second floor there is another reading room, with a beautiful panoramic view, and one double bedroom and bathroom. From this room you can access the attic through a steep wooden staircase where there are 2 single beds and a bathroom with a shower, that is suitable for children. The first annex building has a fully equipped kitchen on the ground floor, with a dining area and half bathroom. There is a great outdoor area here, and right next to the kitchen you will find an old stone oven for making delicious homemade pizzas! Dine under the gazebo and take in the breathtaking views of the hill where Cortona is located. The second annex has another double bedroom and bathroom, a mini bar and laundry area. There is a lot of room to explore in the spacious, green gardens and enjoy hanging out by the pool, with the Tuscan landscape as the backdrop. Guest access Villa Torre degli Elci is entirely for the exclusive use of guests. The access to the property is via a small asphalted road that leads to the gate that opens onto the private parking area, suitable for a maximum of 6/7 vehicles. The garden is weekly looked after by the maintenance worker. Other things to note All costs of electricity, gas, heating, air conditioning and final cleaning are included in the price!
