Rokytnice nad Jizerou is the largest mountain recreational and tourist center in the western Giant Mountains (Krkonose). The center lies in a picturesque valley surrounded by mountains with forests at a height above sea level of 650 metres. The dominant features of Rokytnice nad Jizerou are the Studenov Ridge, Mount Lysa and Mount Kotel which looms to a height of 1434 meters above sea level.The local landscape provides excellent skiing and hiking tracks which are perfectly interconnected with another internationally well known hiking and sports center – Harrachov. THE SKIREGION.CZ offers 6 cableways, 36 lifts and more than 40 km of ski slopes.
