Charming countryside Cottage/Tiny house Lakeland Cottage, a luxury vacation home, is located on the idyllic island of De Woude. A resting place in the northern Randstad. The relaxation begins on the ferry. The freestanding cottage is luxuriously finished and has a kitchen and a bathroom with shower. A south-facing terrace with a wide view over a meadow with a few goats completes the picture. The space The Island Unique nature reserve with rare birds, in a beautiful polder landscape. De Woude is a polder surrounded by Alkmaardermeer, Markervaart and Stierop. It is only accessible by boat or by ferry (sailing time 1 minute) over the Markervaart, and that alone gives a unique holiday feeling. The island is for the most part managed by Staatsbosbeheer; it is a unique bird area. About 160 people live on the island; there is a café-restaurant (t'Kombof) and a church. In short, a village where time goes at least a little slower. The Cottage On the ground floor is the living area with corner sofa and small open kitchen, as well as the bathroom with washbasin, toilet and shower. The bedroom with luxury king-size box spring is upstairs, as is the fabulous view when you wake up. The cottage has a terrace with lounge chairs, and a dining table with lots of privacy, except for a few curious goats. These places are all about 6 km from De Woude. No public transportation on the island. No breakfast option
