Selhammar Tun - Annex Nedstrand
Description
Welcome to our retreat, a place to watch the world go past or a base to enjoy the neighbourhood. Located above a small charismatic beach among the woods and hills of Hinderåvåg. Selhammar is a location that is relatively isolated and accessible down a farm track that wanders about 1 km from the public road system. Explore a choice of forest, beaches and mountains just outside your doorstep. The homestead is slowly being restored from abandonment and basic organic principles are practised. The space Welcome to our annex located in a very rural homestead with panoramic views of the sea, islands and surrounding wooded hills. Here is tranquility, peace and being at one with nature. Open the sliding doors, pullup a chair and enjoy. Take a stroll or a longer walk on one of the many tracks or foot paths that wander from the property. Fancy a swim or build sandcastles the beach is only a few steps away down a secluded path. Those wanting other amenities, the local go ape offers high excitements, while Himakånå at 357moh offers spectacular views over the region and higher hills beyond. The local athletics track offers tennis courts. The estate is approximately 43,000sq mtrs of rough organic based gardens / pasture, shrub, woods, and a stream. As we are attempting to reclaim the property from many years of neglect and as such there is usually someone doing something if you would like to try your hand or want a break from everyday activities or even to just say hi to the bees. Each of the two annexes has uninterrupted views out over the sea, full bathrooms, simple kitchen facilities and underfloor heating throughout. The larger annex has a wood burning stove to provide a glow. WIFI is not available, however emails can be checked from the main house. This annex is only suitable for small children and babies if they can share the separate sleeping alcove with their perents. Animals are welcome at this annex. Guest access There is a carpark onsite. Other things to note The last ca 1km farm track down to the homestead is on gravel, a farm track and is at times a little rough. If the driver has a very low ride height or pulling for example a caravan, then it is recommended to call, and we can meet you or you can walk ahead and inspect the road. Access is the driver’s responsibility. In heavy snow or icy conditions, it is recommended to contact us before driving down. It is not recommended for very low vehicles.
