The space Free Birds Rest is a spacious 4-bedroom home sleeping up to 8 guests, set on the beautiful Solway Coast. Full of character and with plenty of space to relax, it’s a great base for families and groups looking to explore the coast and nearby Lake District. Living Room A comfortable space to relax together, with a Smart TV offering access to Netflix, Amazon, Disney+, NOW and catch-up services. There’s also a retro games console for some added entertainment. Kitchen The characterful kitchen is well equipped for your stay with a gas hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, slow cooker and Morphy Richards filter coffee machine. There’s also a wood-burning stove, perfect for cosy evenings. Dining Area A dedicated dining space for enjoying meals together during your stay. Conservatory A bright additional space overlooking the garden, complete with a football table for some friendly competition. Bedrooms The property has five bedrooms sleeping up to 8 guests, including one spacious king bedrooms and two double bedrooms, alongside a bunk bedroom. There is plenty of storage throughout, with wardrobes, hanging space and chests of drawers available. Bathrooms One of the super king bedrooms benefits from its own en-suite with a mixer shower. There is also a family bathroom on the ground floor with a bath and shower, plus an additional WC on the first floor. Utility Room The utility room includes a washing machine, small fridge and combination microwave oven, making Free Birds Rest particularly convenient for longer stays. Outside Step outside into the spacious garden, surrounded by the wildlife and natural beauty of the Solway Coast. A pathway close to the property leads directly down to the beach, making coastal walks incredibly easy. On clear days, you can enjoy fantastic views across the Solway Firth towards Scotland, while behind the house you can see towards some of the Lake District’s most famous fells, including Skiddaw and Blencathra. With beautiful sunsets, abundant birdlife and the chance to spot wildlife including seals and dolphins along the coast, Free Birds Rest is a wonderful place to slow down and enjoy this special part of Cumbria. Parking Private driveway parking is available for two cars, with additional parking available on the gravel area across the road. Guest access The key box information is sent out 2 days before check in around 4pm.
