Platbakkies Farm Retreat

Situated on the very popular R355, Platbakkies is the ideal stay-over for tourists exploring our very unique region of Namaqualand. Join the farmer for a day of farming, do a mountain bike trail, go on a game drive, look for a new bird specimen or succulent, relax, and at night we deliver a traditional plate of "Boerekos" if you wish. As the African sun sets, the Milky Way welcomes you to the most silent night. Soon the farm animals will wake you for another adventurous day! The space Our old, but restored farmhouse, offers three double rooms with everything you need for your stay. Our farm kitchen is open for orders or you can suit yourself with self-catering. Enjoy the beautiful scenes of the Kamiesberg Mountains to the west and the wide open plains of Bushmanland to the east. Let the African sun wash over you and fill you with a new sense of adventure. Guest access Guests will have access to anything they would like to explore on our farm. Choose from a range of activities or just calm down and enjoy the farm sounds and atmosphere. Other things to note As our farm is a remote place, there is no grocery store within 80 km. So either bring enough food or order in from our farm kitchen.
