Step back in time without sacrificing modern luxury at Miauna cottage. Lovingly restored 100 year old cottage nestled beneath a beautiful escarpment & surrounded by countryside & gardens. The perfect stay for couples and small groups seeking a slow, relaxing, country escape. 30 min from beautiful Mid North Coast beaches & 25 minutes off freeway , with rainforest walks, waterfalls and National parks waiting to be explored nearby. The space Miauna cottage is a country escape where guests can slow down ,unwind & enjoy the beauty of their surroundings. The interiors have a relaxed English feel, combining antique & vintage pieces with beautiful furnishings, original artwork collected from around the world & carefully chosen fabrics and wallpapers from English design houses. We have three bedrooms which sleeps 6 in total. The main bedroom has a queen size bed, a beautiful stained glass bay window & ensuite with a Victoria Albert yellow claw foot bath to soak in & take in the mountain views whilst the sunsets. The yellow room has a queen size bed & the blue room has a double. Every room has been individually styled, so expect a home with personality & character rather than a standard holiday home. Quality bedlinen & sheets supplied. The fully equipped kitchen combines country style with modern convenience & includes a Fisher & Paykal induction oven and dishwasher. Along with a Smeg coffee machine for your morning coffee. The pantry is stocked with salt & pepper, coffee, oil, selection of teas, hot chocolate and marshmallows. You will find your welcome pack on the kitchen bench on your arrival. The lounge area has a wood fire place for winter season. We supply wood, kindlin & fire starters for your stay. There are two comfy couches, armchair, reverse cycle aircon & smart TV which you can play your Spotify if you prefer music. The French doors provide a beautiful view of the country side. Our cozy dining room sits up to 6 people designed for long relaxed meals with family or friends. We have a laundry complete with washing machine & dryer for long stays. There is a wrap around verandah at the front of the house which looks over the country side with sofa & seats. Its a great spot to have a glass of wine & look at the mountain views or watch the beautiful sunset. At the back of the house we have a covered outdoor entertainment area complete with large Webber BBQ, outdoor table & bench seats. Deck chairs & umbrella can be found here. Under the beautiful big tree at the side of the house there is an outdoor chess table. The property extends down towards the river at the rear. Guests are welcome to explore the property & enjoy the outdoor spaces. Kayaks & bicycles are also available so you can experience more of the countryside. Miauna cottage is a genuine country property & was originally the main house on a dairy farm, so alongside the comfort of the cottage you can expect the sight & sounds that come with rural life- birdsong in the mornings, wildlife, neighboring farm animals & the wonderful quiet of the country side. Although Miauna cottage feels beautifully secluded, it is still driving distance of the coast, waterfalls, country towns, shops, markets, restaurants & natural attractions of the Mid North Coast. Miauna Cottage is more than somewhere to stay-it is a home away from home, created for slow mornings, long lunches, country walks, sunset baths & a relaxing time spent together.
