Farm Cabin: Wild Koalas, Firepit, Endless Stars
Farm Cabin: Wild Koalas, Firepit, Endless Stars
Description
Wake up to paddocks, gum trees and birdsong. Cabin in the Grove is a private one-acre retreat surrounded by working cattle farms, halfway between Casino and Lismore. A queen bed, a proper coffee, a fire pit, and a night sky with nothing in the way of it. No plan required. The space The cabin is a compact, thoughtfully finished container cabin sitting on its own fenced acre — separate from the main house, with the whole paddock to yourself. Inside, a queen bed with quality linen and good pillows is the centrepiece. There's a kitchenette with a Nespresso coffee pod machine, kettle and everything you need for simple meals, plus reverse-cycle air conditioning for warm days and cold nights. A washing machine is available if you're travelling longer. Outside is where you'll spend your evenings. The private deck looks North over the paddocks and gum trees, with a fire pit and bean bags. We're far enough from town that the sky goes properly dark — on a clear night you'll see the Milky Way with no effort at all. A wild koala and her joey live in the trees nearby and are around more often than not. Kookaburras, rosellas, wedge-tailed eagles and the odd kangaroo round out the neighbours. Best suited to couples, solo travellers looking for quiet, and anyone who wants a night or two where nothing is scheduled. Guest access The cabin and its full acre are yours alone. It's fenced off from the rest of the property, so you have complete privacy — including the deck, fire pit and paddock. Free off-street parking right at the cabin. Self check-in via a key safe, any time after 2pm. Full arrival directions and access details are sent to you once your booking is confirmed. Other things to note A few honest notes so there are no surprises: The cabin is surrounded by genuine working cattle farms. You may hear cattle, farm machinery or birdlife early in the morning. The final approach is on grass. Fine for any car in dry weather; take it slowly. It's properly dark out here at night. There's lighting at the cabin, but bring a torch (or use your phone) if you're wandering. The cabin runs on tank water and a septic system. Please only flush toilet paper — no wipes. The fire pit is available subject to fire bans and conditions. Check the NSW RFS fire danger rating for the Northern Rivers before lighting up. There's a garden hose near the fence if needed, this is bore water, I wouldn’t drink it. Nearest supermarket, fuel and takeaway are in Casino (approx. 10min) or Lismore (approx. [15min). Come stocked if you're arriving late. The koalas are wild and free-ranging. We see them most days, but we can't promise an appearance. Registration Details PID-STRA-96258
