Old Fox Inn Annexe is an independent ground floor wing of The Old Fox Inn, a Grade 2 listed former pub dating from the mid 1700's. Set 9 miles from the historic city of Cambridge with good transport links. The property benefits from the use of a large garden with free range chickens and overlooking horse paddocks. The space The Annexe has its own entrance and plenty of off road parking. It has been renovated with modern fixtures and fittings and is warm and cosy with central heating. There is a kitchen area with a table and four chairs, hob, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, cooking utensils, dinnerware, and coffee/tea making facilities. A welcome pack with a range of fresh breakfast produce; milk, cereals, bread, jam, butter, eggs, tea, coffee, sugar is included on arrival. Towels and fresh linen are provided. (Washed at 60 degrees). The bedroom has a very comfortable kingsize bed with plenty of pillows and a fluffy duvet. This room also has a very comfortable single chair bed. The living room has a sofa, lovely to snuggle and read, or watch TV. This also converts into a full size comfortable double bed for extra guests and you will have fresh linen, plump pillows and a cosy duvet. The centre of the picturesque village of Bourn, (famous for it's pioneering work in the field of IVF) is five minutes away and offers the Willow Tree Pub, a very good Indian restaurant, a coffee shop, a butchers, a convenience store and a golf club/gym/health spa. There are numerous local walks through the beautiful surrounding countryside. We are happy to help you with any recommendations. The historic Wimpole Hall Estate, a lovely National Trust property is 5-10 minutes away. The historic city of Cambridge is 15 minutes away by car. For trips into London, Royston station is only 15 minutes away and is much easier for parking. The fast train is under 40 minutes journey time. Guest access The Annexe provides a fully independent and private suite consisting of a spacious kitchen/dining/living, a separate bedroom (off the living room) and bathroom.
