A former royal hunting ground that became Italy's first national park, the valley offers spectacular landscapes and uniquely rich wildlife (ibex, chamois). Exceptional traditional architecture using the age-old blockbau technique — a stack of massive wooden planks assembled without any nails. The hamlet underwent a renovation in the 1970s, which preserved the soul of the building while adding modern comforts with a warm and optimized interior. Designed to accommodate families or groups of friends, the accommodation consists of: * A cozy living room with a warm sitting area, dining table and a small fully equipped kitchen (oven, hob, fridge, Nespresso coffee maker, kettle, toaster, dishes, pots, etc.). * A mezzanine under a wooden frame with 2 cozy beds, accessed by a miller's staircase. * A family room equipped with a large double bed (160 cm) and 2 bunk beds, accessed by a miller's staircase protected by a door for small children. * An adjacent bathroom downstairs, functional and comfortable. You have an outdoor area shared with the other chalets in the hamlet, offering stunning views of the mountain tops. As the hamlet is very sparsely occupied, you will enjoy a rare tranquility. There is a shared outdoor table and an area under the chalet with a fountain and magnificent views of the mountain tops. Practical info: There is no supermarket in the valley. Do your shopping in Aosta before coming up (the nearest supermarket is about 30 minutes away by car). A 3-minute drive away, the Dégioz tobacconist's shop serves as a convenience store (cleaning products, basic groceries), and a nearby restaurant-bar sells croissants. Seasonal markets nearby in summer. The perfect base for hiking, wildlife watching and photography in all seasons.
