Rent a 70-year-old traditional house | Namahagekan, 5 minutes by car, Akita
Description
Oga Peninsula, Akita Prefecture. You can rent the entire 70-year-old traditional house in a quiet village where the Namahage culture still lives on. Beams and pillars that have stood for many years, Japanese-style rooms with tatami mats, and the appearance of an old-fashioned Japanese house. You can spend a relaxing time here, with a nostalgic feel that you won't find in a newly built accommodation. It is about a 5-minute drive from Namahagekan. It is convenient as a base for sightseeing in Oga, but when you return to the accommodation, you are surrounded by the quiet scenery of the rural mountains. The day begins with the sounds of birds and the presence of nature in the morning, after being enveloped in tranquility at night. You can relax with family, friends, or groups in the spacious Japanese-style room. We all gathered around the dining table and relaxed and talked on the tatami mats. Rather than "staying" at a hotel, "Live like you're at home" in an old house in Oji. Namahage culture, abundant nature, and traditional Japanese living. We aim to be a place where you can slowly feel the land of Oji itself. Please enjoy the warmth that remains because it is an old house built 70 years ago, and the time that flows in a relaxed manner.
