Herb Farm Cottage - Imereti

If you love sitting outside with a morning coffee, looking across a river and eating on a deck surrounded by trees, this cottage gives you space to do it. Set on our working herb farm in Rokhi, 30 minutes from Kutaisi, you can wander the herbs, explore the river and woods, and ask us what we're growing. Then come back to a full kitchen, hot shower and comfortable space. It's a working farm, so expect daytime noise. 15 min Vani Hot Springs | 30 min Kutaisi | 45 min Airport The space THE OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE & HERB FARM Behind the house, you'll find our working herb farm, woodland, fields and a small river. There is space outside for morning coffee, eating meals outdoors, or brewing a pot of herbal tea. Guests are welcome to wander around the farm and discover the herbs and plants we grow. We live on-site and are always happy to show you around, explain what we grow and how we use the plants, or share a cup of freshly made herbal tea from the farm. You can also explore the river and woodland behind the house, or walk about 5 minutes into Rokhi village. THE COTTAGE The entire ground floor is a private, self-contained space with its own separate entrance. We restored this traditional Georgian Oda house to preserve its original character while giving you the modern comforts you want on a trip like this: Kitchen & Dining: A fully equipped kitchen where you can comfortably prepare your own meals. Living Room: The living room features a comfortable sofa and a dining table. If you are staying as a group of three, we can also provide a sofa chair that converts into a single bed (74 × 220 cm), suitable for a child or a small-to-medium-sized adult Bedroom: A 140 × 200 cm double bed with a high-quality mattress and pillows. The window faces the back of the house, overlooking the fields and river. Bathroom: A spacious bathroom with a hot shower and windows facing the surrounding nature. VILLAGE LIFE & WHAT TO EXPECT This is a real working farm in a small Georgian village: You may see cows and goats passing by, cats, people working in their gardens, and neighbours stopping for a chat. Rokhi has supermarkets, vegetable shops, and pharmacies within walking distance. Much of the produce sold locally comes from nearby gardens and farms. The house is next to the main village road, so you may hear traffic during the day. There is also normal daytime activity and noise from the farm. We live on the second floor. Your entire ground floor is private, with its own entrance, although you may occasionally hear us upstairs. ABOUT US We are Anousha and Gareth, and we live here on the farm. We're nearby if you need anything and happy to show you around the herbs or answer questions about the farm and the area. GETTING HERE Having a rental car is the easiest way to explore Imereti and Western Georgia, but you can also reach us without one. We are always happy to show you around, tell you a little about what we grow and how we use them. And, of course, you are very welcome to try a cup of our freshly made herbal tea from the farm. Other things to note We live in a small village, so you will see a little bit of everyday village life around you - cows and goats passing by, cats, local people working in their gardens and sometimes neighbours stopping for a chat. In the village there are a few supermarkets, vegetable shops and pharmacies. The vegetables are mostly brought in by local villagers, so you can find fresh, seasonal produce from nearby gardens and farms. The house is right next to the main road, so you may hear some traffic during the day. At the back of the house, though, it is much more peaceful, with the river, fields and a small woodland. We also live upstairs, so you may occasionally hear us moving around. The whole ground floor is private for you, with its own separate entrance.
