The space The cabin is light, simple and comfortable, with a Scandinavian-inspired interior. The open-plan kitchen and living space features a wood-burning fireplace for chilly evenings, and air-conditioning for warmer days. The bedroom has a comfortable Queen extra-length bed, while the modern bathroom has a walk-in shower. The kitchen is well equipped for simple holiday meals, with a 4-plate gas hob and air fryer. But the best part might be outside. Open the doors and step straight onto the covered deck, where you can have your morning coffee, settle in with a book, or simply sit and stare at the mountains. The fully-fenced garden gives dogs space to stretch their legs and explore. When you're ready to get out and about, you're a gentle 5 minute stroll away from Bot River's main square where you’ll find the hotel, other restaurants and a general store. With Bot River at the foot of the Van Der Stel pass, trails and the surrounding countryside are right on your doorstep. You're also within easy reach of a multitude of excellent Overberg wine farms. And yes, we're properly dog-friendly. Dogs of all sizes and breeds are welcome, and we don't put a limit on how many you bring. A weekend away is better when the whole family gets to come along! Other things to note The kitchen: The kitchen is well equipped for simple holiday meals, but there is no oven. It has a 4-plate gas hob and air fryer, as well as a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso Lattisima (pods supplied) and water filter jug. Other basics include salt, pepper, olive oil, tea, coffee, sugar, paper towels, airfryer liners and foil. For a good night's sleep: You'll find a luxury Queen extra-length bed with 100% cotton bedding. For hot and cold days: There's air-conditioning for summer and a wood-burning fireplace for winter. Firewood is provided for the indoor fireplace. The bathroom: You'll find a bright, modern en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are provided. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a solid barn-style door. Towelling gowns are provided for use during your stay. Braai: A Weber kettle braai. Braai wood and charcoal provided. Entertainment & WiFi: The cabin has fast 30 Mbps fibre WiFi and a TV with Netflix. Dogs: We genuinely love having dogs stay. Dogs of all sizes and breeds are welcome, and there's no limit on the number of dogs. For use during your stay, we provide: • Dog bowls • Poop bags • Travel water bottle • Blankets to cover the couch and bed • Dog towels • Sun loungers • A splash pool for summer The garden: The garden is fully-fenced with a lovely patch of grass out front, so your dogs can enjoy the getaway too - without you constantly wondering where they've disappeared to. Location: Cherry Brush is about a 5-minute walk from Bot River's main square, where you'll find the hotel, restaurants and a general store. We're also well positioned for exploring the Overberg, with trails, wine farms and countryside nearby. Hermanus and Kleinmond are approximately 25–30 minutes away by car, and Greyton is around 40 minutes. Please note: Cherry Brush is situated on a road, so you may hear passing traffic from time to time.
