L'Escale de Notre-Dame is a fully renovated 17th-century farmhouse of nearly 500 m², located in the countryside in Bretigney-Notre-Dame, 10 min from Baume-les-Dames and 30 min from Besançon. The estate has two cottages for 15 people, which are mainly offered together, with the possibility, depending on availability, of booking one of the two parts. Large open spaces, games, greenery, quiet, walks and hikes nearby. The space The building offers nearly 500 m² of space and has been completely renovated to comfortably accommodate group stays year-round. The estate is composed of two sections that can accommodate up to 15 people each. It is mainly offered as a whole for groups of up to 30 guests. One of the two sections can also be rented separately for 15 people, depending on the time of year and availability. In total, there are 12 bedrooms, 3 of which are located on the ground floor. The beds are distributed as follows: - 8 beds 180 × 200 cm - 1 bed 160 × 200 cm - 2 beds 140 × 200 cm - 7 single beds 90 × 200 cm - 2 bunk beds with two sleeping places of 90 × 200 cm each The estate also has 5 bathrooms, including 2 with bathtubs, as well as 2 fully equipped kitchens. This layout ensures that there is still plenty of space and comfort even when the house is hosting a large group. We also wanted the house to be pleasant no matter the season. Several areas are air-conditioned to provide more comfort during hot periods, and underfloor heating allows you to fully enjoy the property in winter. A large part of the indoor space is dedicated to recreation so that both children and adults can enjoy their stay even when the weather is less favorable. In particular, you'll find: - a large indoor play structure for children - a pool table - a foosball table - An air hockey table - darts - Several arcade games Outside, the property covers approximately half a hectare and is fully fenced. It offers large green spaces with unobstructed views of the countryside and enough space for everyone to enjoy their stay at their own pace. Two large terraces allow you to eat outdoors, relax in the sun, or simply enjoy a quiet moment. The outdoor areas also feature: - pétanque court (French boules) - a play structure for children - large grassy areas for playing and enjoying the garden - A goat pen for eco-grazing Our goats naturally help maintain part of the grounds. They are part of life on the estate and bring a real farm-like atmosphere that children particularly enjoy. Pets are welcome on the property. The presence of the goat pen simply requires taking a few precautions with dogs, so we ask that you let us know when you come with your pets. L'Escale de Notre-Dame is located in the heart of the countryside, in a quiet and green environment. Numerous paths, walks, and hikes are available nearby to explore the countryside and landscapes of the Doubs. Baume-les-Dames and its shops are about 10 minutes away, and Besançon is about 30 minutes away. We wanted to preserve the spirit of a large country house while providing the comfort and amenities necessary to accommodate large groups, with enough activities on site to keep both children and adults occupied, but also large spaces to simply enjoy the calm and nature. Guest access The property exclusively accommodates one group at a time. Depending on the package booked, you will have access to part of the estate or to both cottages. The unreserved area remains closed and unoccupied, so you will never share the premises with other guests. Three bedrooms and a bathroom are located on the ground floor. However, some parts of the home remain accessible only by stairs. The property has two gates as well as two large parking spaces, inside and in the immediate vicinity of the estate, allowing several vehicles to be easily accommodated. Other things to note Christmas and New Year stays can only be booked by the week. Pets are also welcome. Please just let us know before your arrival. There is a fenced goat park on the property, so we ask that dogs be calm and easily kept under control. The estate has additional beds that allow it to occasionally accommodate more than 30 people, depending on group composition.
