The space Welcome to The Granary, a beautifully converted 18th-century barn, tucked away within the grounds of a medieval farmhouse in the heart of the Kent countryside. Attention to detail has been at the heart of every part of the conversion and we can’t wait to welcome guests. The kitchen is compact, but perfectly equipped with an air fryer, induction hob and full size fridge freezer. Tea, coffee etc are provided for your stay along with local milk and basic spices. (If you fancy cooking!) French doors open onto your own private garden. It’s a lovely spot to enjoy your morning coffee, relax in the log-fired hot tub, or simply unwind while taking in the peaceful countryside. If you’re bringing your dog, there are wonderful walks right from the doorstep. Follow the path at the end of the garden to join the public footpaths that wind across our fields and up through the valley. Don’t forget to say hello to our horses along the way—they’re always happy to meet visitors! (We hope to welcome guests travelling with their horses in the future). When you fancy eating out, The Marquis is just a two-minute walk away and serves excellent food in a welcoming village setting. If you’d like to explore a little further, Folkestone and Canterbury are all within easy reach. Folkestone Harbour Arm is one of our favourite places for great food, drinks and sea views, and you can catch the Number 91 bus from two minutes away, to get there without worrying about parking. Dover port is a 10 minute drive away if you fancy a day trip to France! We have a travel cot and high chair available for our smaller guests - just ask! Whether you’re here for a romantic escape, to explore the Kent countryside, or simply to relax in the hot tub after a day of walking, we hope The Granary feels like a home from home and that you’ll leave with wonderful memories of your stay. Guest access The Granary has its own parking space and enclosed garden. There are no shared spaces. Other things to note Please read the hot tub instructions before booking/arrival. Guests will need to know how to build and maintain a log fire to heat it. (We are always about to help if you get stuck!) Your stay includes logs and supplies for the hot tub fire. Dogs are welcome, but we may restrict this during the muddy winter months due to the mess. Please bring dog beds with you, as dogs are not permitted on the furniture. We have installed an outdoor dog bath and old towels for muddy paws!
