Lovely mountain cabin on Filefjell

Welcome to our cabin on Tyin-Filefjell! A perfect place to just relax, but also an eldorado for active people. In the winter you have ski in/ski out to Tyin Filefjell ski center as well as a great network of cross-country skiing trails. With Jotunheimen as the closest neighbor, it is a short drive to mountain hikes and fantastic mountain walks. And with a drive of less than an hour, you are at Sognefjorden with spectacular Vestland nature. The space The cabin is approximately 100 m2 and is a modern and cozy cabin in a classic style. The cabin consists of a vestibule with good closet space, living room, kitchen with dining area, bathroom and 4 bedrooms (one bedroom is closed off). Furthermore, there are two terraces with outdoor furniture, barbecue and fire pit. Sleeping arrangements We rent 3 bedrooms with a total of 8 beds divided into a double bed 150 cm wide and two family bunk beds 90/150 cm wide. All beds are equipped with duvets and pillows, and guests can choose whether to bring their own bed linen. Alternatively, we can provide bed linen at an extra cost of NOK 150 per person. Please note that this service cannot be offered during the winter season, when guests must provide their own bedding. Bathroom Complete bathroom with tiled floor and heating cables. Shower stall, sink, toilet and washing machine. Toilet paper and detergents are included. Kitchen Large and spacious kitchen with a large dining area for 8 people. Fridge with freezer, cooker with induction cooktop, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, and all the pots and tableware you need. Living room Large and cozy living room with a corner sofa and two recliners. TV with Apple TV (streaming only) via fiber broadband. Free WiFi. Fireplace with glass doors. Tips for places and distances Eidsbugarden, Tyinholmen and Koldedalen are 30-40 minutes from the cabin and are nice hiking destinations. From Koldedalen, hikes to the peaks of Uranostind and Falketind are organized. Spectacular bike ride on Tunellvegen to the 1000-meter mark. Only a 30-minute drive from the cabin. Bikes can be rented at the Intersport store by the cabin. Kongeveien over Filefjell. A historic hiking route that runs right below the cabin. Furthermore, it is a short distance to Sognefjorden with Årdal and a hike to Vettisfossen. Lærdalsøyri with its intimate buildings and Aurland and Flåm with spectacular nature and experiences (Stegastein, Flåmsbana, Rallarvegen, Nærøyfjorden, etc.) Guest access Guests have access to the entire cabin with the exception of one bedroom and an outdoor shed. Other things to note There is a road all the way to the cabin in the summer (June to October). In winter, there is free parking 550 meters from the cabin on a partially steep hill. It is possible to go skiing/snowshoeing, and if it is groomed by snowmobiles, it is also perfectly possible to walk. Joker Tyinkrysset offers snowmobile transport during store hours (open every day except Christmas Day). In winter, we are not able to offer cleaning after stay or bed linens. Guests must arrange this themselves. Cleaning equipment is available in the cabin. During the summer, we can offer cleaning at a price of NOK 1,500, as well as rental of bed linens and towels at NOK 150 per person. This is in addition to the rental of the cabin. Joker Tyinkrysset and Intersport are located 850 meters from the cabin and are open 7 days a week, 364 days a year.
