Description
Staying for a spell with us at Ballyhoura Mountain Lodges is more than just a break away from your routine, it is a journey of discovery to the Soul of Ireland. Whether you are looking for an escape, a relaxing break, to rekindle the romance or for some exciting adventure activities – we have it all on the doorstep here in Ballyorgan. Ita is the lady that everyone interacts with, and as a local to the area, she brings the knowledge that only years of experience grants. Best walks for the weather on the day, which cycle routes have a bit more shelter from the wind or less hills and Local producers and products and where to buy them. Each lodge has three bedrooms, the master bedroom has a double bed and is ensuite and the two other bedrooms have twin beds and share the main bathroom. The living area and kitchen/dining area are all open plan separated from the bedrooms by a hallway. Linen and towels are provided and the beds are made prior to your arrival. We can have the heating on prior to your arrival if you like, just let us know. We have lovely stoves in each house and we encourage people to collect the kippings and sticks in the forest to burn in the fire (bring some dry stuff in case of bad weather). In each lodge we have a flat screen tv, a dvd player, a radio cd player, oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, pots, pans, plates, cups, glasses, knives and forks, wine openers, bottle openers and every thing else we could think of to make your stay easier. Mountain Lodges offer the perfect setting for a self-catering weekend or week-long getaway for couples, families or groups to explore the pristine countryside and take in some fun activities. Ita and the staff can arrange activities including horse riding, cultural attractions, walking trails, road cycling and mountain biking. On site you will find our own adventure playground which is enough to amuse the smaller ones for a few hours.
